Every Bougie Home candle is hand-poured with a premium blend of coconut and apricot waxes, chosen for their renewable, plant-based origins, luxurious creamy finish, and exceptional fragrance performance. A small amount of highly refined, food-grade paraffin—described by our U.S. wax supplier as a “minuscule” addition to their proprietary blend—gives these naturally soft botanical waxes structure, enhances hot throw, and supports a smooth, clean burn when the wick is properly trimmed and maintained.

This premium wax is more costly to work with, but one we choose intentionally for its quality, performance, and greater reliance on plant-derived materials. Paired with phthalate-free fragrances and all-natural, ring-spun cotton wicks, our candles are thoughtfully formulated for those who are discerning about the products they bring into their homes.

Yes. We carefully select premium, phthalate-free fragrances formulated without parabens or unnecessary additives, and use each fragrance within applicable IFRA standards. For the first burn, allow the wax to melt evenly across the entire surface of the candle. This helps prevent tunneling and promotes an even burn throughout the life of the candle.

Yes. Trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch before each burn to encourage a clean, even flame and minimize soot.

We recommend burning candles for no more than 3–4 hours at a time. When the candle only has 1/2" of wax remaining, discontinue use.

Due to the nature of our products, used or burned candles cannot be returned.
